Matana Roberts – “No! Music” festival – HKW 2017

During 5 days we developed Matana Robert´s piece she wrote especially for “No! Music” – a political and very touching work.

Breathing also means raising one’s voice, questioning, challenging, refusing. Roberts, saxophonist, sound experimenter, and spokeswoman for a new maverick Jazz scene, has composed a choral work for No! Music which politicizes this basic bodily function.
